You reduce the fraction by b. Its just like if b were 2. You reduce by 2 and the answer is 7

Okay, So in math we are learning to simplify fractions that have variables. Everytime I try to have my teacher explain it t me he says it way too fast for me to understand though. Can somebody explain how you do it. Thanks!
