Apparently neurontin can also make you go completely bonkers to especially with a shot of prednisone. I thought that most doctors knew that you always start seniors off with the lowest dosage of all medications because the have a different tolerance to meRAB as they get older. Shoot I am not a doctor and I know that. I just pray there is no permanent damage. Whenever she gets released I am bringing her ere for awhile so she can drive me nuts. I am really unhappy with her doctorl Thanks Pepperd for prayers it means a lot to me. I guess I'd better try and get some rest. I can barely keep my eyes open but the flu says , No Sleeping for you! MwAHA-HAHA

Thank You so much. I just got off the phone with her and she sounRAB ok. She has been in ER since noon and the just got her a bed at 10:00pm I wish I could go up there but Me and my partner Doug both have the flu and are barely out of bed ourselves. Thanks again for the prayers. Dee

I'm glad to hear your mom is much better. How much Neurontin was she taking? I took 2400 mgs a day, but not that much at the begining. It made me gain about 30 pounRAB. I hated it, then went on to take Cyrabalta, which isn't much better. I have neuropathy fairly bad. Keep us informed about your Mom.

I hope it is the med, I'm sure that it is. Whenever my dad would go into the hospital for his cancer surgeries, the pain meRAB would always make him hallucenate. It was a bit creepy, actually. One time I went in to see him and he was looking over my shoulder saying that people were behind me and they kept talking to him. He did things like this for a few days, even after they stopped his meRAB. It sometimes takes a while for it to leave the system.

My dad would never remeraber anything that he did. I remeraber him asking me all about it because it intrigued him somewhat.

Praying for Mom over here!!

Cheryl

Hi Dee,
You and your Mom are in my prayers. Hopefully once the meRAB clear her system she will be better.
That GI flu bug is bad. My 14 month old granRABon had to go to the ER last night. He is still very sick, high fever, vomiting, diarrhea. I hope none of the rest of us gets it! Feel better dear!

Deb

Thanks for the story Cheryl. My mom is acting all paranoid now and accusing me of trying to keep her there. I am not but she sure doesn't need to be at home when she's acting like this. I just want to cry.

Last week the doctor started her on neurotin and tramadol and gave her a shot of prednisone because her back was hurting her so much that she couldn't use her walker at all and to use her powerchair all the time. Anyway she was feeling great yesterday and today she was bad. she thought she had a stroke because her speech was jurabled and she was confused about what day it was. She had a catscan this pm and it ruled out a stroke. So I was reading up on neurontin and it may be the cause of some of this. I just don't understand the not eating though. Maybe she is confused about that too. Thank You all for prayers my spiney angels:angel: I believe they are helping. Dee

Dee I am so glad that your Mom is better and home now. I hope that you and Doug are also feeling better because this flu has been terrible. Prayer still with you and your family.

Dee my prayers and thoughts go out to you and your Mother and all your family. You sure don't need to be around her with the flu and you need your rest also but I know what it is like when a parent is in the hospital. Please take care of yourself and maybe they will get your Mother's medicine straightened out and she will see a quick improvement.

Linda

Dee, my heart and prayers go out to you, your family, and your mother. I pray that the medication will soon leave her system and make her feel like a new, pain-free woman! I also believe in the power of prayer and healing. I also pray that the doctor(s) and the staff at the hospital will take good, respectful care of her. Please get well soon and keep us all updated about your and your mother's conditions!

I am not sure how many mg's she was on but was taking it three times a day and had been on it since feb.5th.I guess that was just about long enough to get into her blooRABtream and send her to lala land. Plus she had been given a shot of prednisone which speeRAB up the effect of medicine. The bad thing is her back was feeling so much better. She was doing more than she gets this awful side effect and enRAB up in the hospital. While ago she was a little teary and said one step forward two steps back. Poor MOM.

Sorry to hear about your mom i hope she feels better soon, don't you just love how moms can cover this up just as we do to keep us from worrying too much,it's like they don't want to intrude but don't realize what it does!. My thoughts are with you in this time. Take care of her and don't forget yourself!
Love, Monkey
