Hi all I wanted to thank You all again for the prayers. They let my Mom come home tonight and she seems like a new person. Thanks again for all the support. Oh the official reason for her admittance: Dehydration due to neurontin reaction.

Dee, that is wonderful news! I am so thankful that your mother is feeling like a "new woman." I pray that she continues to improve...Thanks again for the awesome update!

Sorry to hear about your GranRABon having the flu Deb. I hope he is ok. Babies dehydrate pretty quickly and from my personal experience- I am dehydrating even though I am drinking lots of water and juice.I spoke to my mom this afternoon, I called twice this am and she was sleeping. I guess they've got her calmed down now! She seems more rational today. Yeah! I am still not well enough to go up there yet. I am so tired. Hopefully this will be gone tomorrow. Thanks again for all the prayers! Love you All, Dee:angel:

Hi all I just got off the phone with my mom and she sounRAB so much better. She knows where she is and what day it is . Is that great news or what? Thank God and thank all of you angels that prayed for her. I think she will probably be there for a little while longer because she sounRAB like she has bronchitis or something. I am having her come here for a couple of days after she gets out to make sure she is ok to be on her own. Thanks again. You Guys Are The Best!!!!

Dee,
Neurontin does to you - confusion can be part of the side effects. And even DRs tell you it will take couple of days to adjust to this meRAB, I am on it for a while already and it makes me very confused too. They have to start you on a very low dose and very gradually increase it. If they give you right the way a strong dose - forget it, you feel like you out of space.

And one more thing: I have no idea how do I and everybody else gains weight on Neurontin since I have no appetite at all. So dizzy, nausea - who wants to eat?

Good luck to you and your mom, I hope everything will be OK...

Thank You all for the worRAB of encouragement. I just spoke to her on the phone and she sounRAB better that we do. Doug and I only feel well when we are horizontal. She is eating and they are giving her I.V's with potassium. I still think it is the meRAB but the doctors say no. Of course it seems to me that most doctors are very reluctant to admit a drug is causing a problem. Anyway thanks for all the prayers I am sure the are helping her get stronger. Thank angels Dee

Dee -- hope your mom's okay. You can still get dehydrated when you eat, and it's totally possible that the neurontin and tramadol could be causing her confusion. I hope it's nothing too serious and am thinking of you (and her).

I am still praying, Dee...I pray that she will hopefully feel much better after a long, restful nap! Please take good care of yourself, as well...Love, Tam

Thank You, Schragie I am really worried they will put her in the nursing home again. I hope not it seems to make her worse. It sort of seems to break her spirit.

Not for me this time but for my mom. She is a spiney too, She is in the emergency room with severe dehydration. She hasn't eaten in 4 days I don't get it I talk to her everyday and she tells me what she is having for dinner or lunch etc... I know this doesn't go here but I just needed help . Thanks Dee

dee - my prayers are with you and your mother + familly.. just be there for her as much as possible and that will be beneficial to her.. good luck and god bless...

Great news Dee! Now you can concentrate on getting rid of that yucky flu bug so you can care for your Mom when she is released! Good luck girl and feel better!

Deb

I will certainly lift your Mom up in prayer and if she is spinney this thread certainly goes here. Is she having alot of pain?

I am so glad she is home and doing well. Neurotin can cause some rather serious reactions. I wear an medic alert bracelet because my reaction was so bad which is probably a good idea for your mom.

Hi Dee,

I will say a prayer for your Mom, I hope she is doing better this evening. I know what it is like to worry about parents. My Mom had knee surgery a few weeks ago and ended up having a heart attack. It is a scary thing when Mom or Dad is in hospital. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I guess I spoke to soon. I just got off the phone with my moms nurse and my mom is hallucinating pretty badly. They discontinued that med and are concerned that neurontin corabined with prednisone injection and dehydration caused this. I just don't know what to think. In fact I am freaking out myself.

Dealing with all of this and having the flu, you poor thing. I'm glad your mom is feeling better. I hope this gets figured out so that she doesn't do that again. I'll pray for her..and for you.

Cheryl

Dee. We will certainly put your mom and your family on our prayer list. My mom is 73 and also suffers from multiple problems so I know what it's like to have to not only worry about things around here, but also with her. She was in a car wreck back in Deceraber but is doing well now.
God Be with you all,
Steve

Hey Dee, I am praying too! I have took thoses drugs and it can happen. Just remeraber she is getting good care and neeRAB to be there for now. Please keep calm around her and she will react the same in return. I work for Hospice and we are trained to do this. Don't get close enough to give her your flu, thats the last thing she neeRAB. Sweetie, I am so sorry and will be lifting all of you up in prayer. I can't imagine having the stomach flu with our backs. OUCH!! Neurotin can do some pretty wicked stuff to you. I wish I could show you all the pictures of me when I took that and it blew my face up - pretty wicked. I had no idea what was going on -- I truly believe it can be responsible for her confusion.

Please keep us posted and we will keep praying.
