I hate it. A lil' while back nobody really started anything with me. But now, since I have a job and tons of responsibilities, people are treating me like shit again. Now I feel like that kid I used to be (a long... long... time ago) when people would fucking stone me just because I was sitting somewhere other than the floor. And... I just feel like shit. How do I stop this?

Dude if you can ignore them then do, its not worth worrying how other people perceive you, and if they do treat you like shit you don't need them...

"The people that matter don't mind and the people that mind don't matter"

I would do that, but they now have a 52 day suspension for any "roughing 'round'" that they feel may end in injury.

As for you loms... LIES, I sport a height 5'10", an amazing total of 8% body fat, the ability to bench 130 lbs (12 reps 3 sets), and about 6 1/2 years of martial arts training.

Oh yeah? Well I'm 6'2, 275lbs, 50% body fat, and I can bench 300lbs, 250lbs i can do 3 sets of 10.

Oh yeah, and i'm a master of tai chi chuan, aikijiujitsu, kendo and komoniwanalaya.

I love the internet; we can claim whatever we want!

And I'm a 5'9" Egyptian belly dancer named Melina.

Tostig's got a point, thought; do you have proof? My name was published on my dojo's website when I graduated; you have anything like that?

I don't let females get away with it either hehehe. When I was in junior high, there was a bitch (not to be confused with Bitch, whom I love) that would go around slapping guys because she's "a girl and they can't hit back." Fuck that noise. She slapped me once, out of the blue, as I was walking down the hallway, so I slapped her back hard enough to knock her on her ass. I got suspended for a couple days, but I didn't see her slap anyone again.

Tostig: :D :hug2:

Cheese, I was the same person where I worked for a while (I have changed careers since then but not because of the way peopel treated me). I generally kept to myself, during most of it. I made friends with the outcast groups which were more real than anyone else in the work place. The guy I was working with was nice but just not interested in anything I liked. He was into sports. He was also one of the "cool" people. That pretty much meant if he didn't have to be there, he was Mr. Popularity. While there, he'd keep to himself. The boss was a bit superfiscial and was only interested in making herself look important. Not many people enjoyed having her around but on her nice days she'd try to talk to everyone in a friendly fashion and of course everyone was nice back. She had her posse though. The large crowd of people that would folllow her around like puppies. You know suck-ups. They's appear cool but not a crowd that woudl have any meaningful relationship although might appear to be friendly. Then there were the office peopel. They were nice but much older than me. I'd talk to them occasionally but they'd keep to their work so it was hard to hang with them. A nice bunch actually that I'd have thought I'd like but could never hang out with were the computer builders. They'd be out of the office many times. I tried to get to know them, but they'd blow me off with a bit of a snear. Snobs. The group I got along with the best were the programmers. I was part of the pc tech support which, to the programmers, were normally a bunch of snobs...'cept me. I'd eat lunch with them, I'm talk with them, I'd get to know them. They were a really cool bunch of people! Not to mention Star Trek fans which made things easy for me to talk to them about stuff.

My point is, try to get to know the underdogs in your work. Observe the different groups around and learn who you may fit in with the most. Eventually you'll find someone there to make your day go by easier. Meanwhile, just continue to do the best you can and try real hard to ignore the dumb comments others might say at you. You'r hard work does get noticed if you are truly trying your best. What matters is impressing the people that can fire you. Beyond that, it's just noise.
