Hi purchas ed ppi in 1993 from a broker for my mortgage, I let it run for approximately ten years maybe more, and eventually cancelled because i never claimed on it. This is a bit complicated but when i took out my mortgage my original bank account was with the clydesdale bank, but it was the tsb that gave me the mortgage, and a separate broker for my ppi. I now bank with the bank of scotland and have done for many years. The broker that i took out the ppi with is no longer in existence, how do i retrieve any paper work to make a claim.
I Phoned the tsb and they said i had not taken out a ppi alongside my mortgage. So do i need to approach the clydesdale for my bank records, and can they make it difficult for me to retrieve this information as i no longer bank with them
How do i get my bank statements back from 1993 onwards.
Please help.
PS and how do i know that the bank is telling me truth when they say i didnt take any ppi out with them when i took out my mortgage, if i have no records can i request bank statements from the tsb, thanx
