Hey guys, I just bought a PPC-6601 sprint phone that was flashed to cricket and I cant get into the program menu as I don't have the MSL nor do I have a sprint account to call them. Can anyone help. If you can help let me know how much you will charge.

Thanks
Todd

Dang those freakin phones are huge Loll. Do you have the data cable for it? if so search the threaRAB i think there was someone who also was messing around with that phone

Amoamare added::^/ I thought that the wireless provider's hardware/software corabination allowed them to access phones remotely via the ESN, and to retrieve the MSL/SPC that way. Of course, the phone would have to be online at the time of access.

amoa... by special bow do u mean like unibox? ? ? cause, i have one, but i cant get the thing to work at all. i plug it in, it comp doesnt recognize it. and no instructions. cept to plug it in. does it not need driver or anything? is it just the com port i plug it in? use that? lols im durab sorrys :P i been trying figure out how 2 make that thing work. had it for like 3 weeks, gave up after a day. lols.

lols, i dont know wut point of this unibox is, came with cdma workshop. since i cant get it to work. drivin me nuts, prolly almost useless, well so far it is.

The unibox is a serial to usb interface.
Its not pointless nor useless. I use it everyday when just programming phones its fast. I swap cables no need to worry about comport. Allways connected to comport 2

Its some box that someone wanted $2,000 dollars for it.
Maximking says that GETSPC worked on his might want to give that a try.

No, cricket does not have any information on what you're MSL is for and sprint, virgin, qwest, etc etc phones. They do not know the algorithm that these carries use, nor do they have any remote access to them. This is why they will need the phone unlocked and reprogrammed so you can use it on their service. If this wasn't the case then it would be point less really for use to sit here and need to remove the MSL.

the way i did my first ppc6601 from sprint was i used get spc 2003. once i got the spc. I uploaded the prl to a memory card then used file explorer to add the prl into the phone filesystem dial ## prl# search where u added the prl update it then manual program with the ##spc# done deal.
