Powerfull drama's????? dunno what to get

I watch a lot of comedy films coz i think you can watch them more times than a powerfull drama or something but i can't think of what to buy these are the films i like that are not comedy's

a film i saw the other day with samual l. jackson as a suspected rapist of a young girl.

anyway could you help me to thnk of a good film like these to buy ?

25th hour
Sleepers
Murder in the first
Midnight express
The shawshank redmeption
 
Mostly good choices, and The Green Mile is fb. Nice to see Tom Hanks in a film that isn't a complete festering turd of a movie.

Just as an aside though, SLJ is accused of killing two guys, who raped and killed his daughter. Basically, a twist on 'To Kill a Mockingbird'.

Bully is a sensational film, if you can take it.
 
I second all of the suggestions although I didn't particularly enjoy The Green Mile.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape is an excellent movie that no one talks about anymore; I think you'd enjoy that.

All excellent, particularly Papillon; it's my favourite "get home from the pub and make everyone watch it" film.

I would also recommend Goodfellas, the best film in the world, in this instance; how did I not think of it sooner?!

Last but not least, The Untouchables (probably second in the league of top films to watch after the pub).
