I have a 1000w amp and a pair of subs that came from my car. I was lookin for a power supply (other that a batery charger) that could handle the ampage that the subs would pull.
The amp is a kenwood kac-7202
The subs are 1052 by infinity.

Thanks

Kenwood lists that amplifier's current consumption at 40 amps. Power supplies with that kind of capacity are available, but fairly expensive.

I've seen some people use the computer power supply to run the amp. It puts out 12volts. It should be able to handle the car amp.
