Power Commander 5 and Auto Tune Info

When I first installed the PCV/AT the rear O2 sensor bounced around from an AFR of 12 to 25 when at idle. I checked the exhaust system for leaks found none and resealed everything anyway, swapped the front O2 sensor with the rear, checked all connections on the PCV and AT modules and bugged the bejesus out of the guys at FuelMoto. I finally tried partially restricting the right exhaust and the sensor stabilized and acted more like the front cylinder. Using that as an excuse to buy them, I purchased Jackpot asymmetrical baffles and swapped out the 2" Rush baffles. Problem Solved! Could it be that 2" baffles aren't restrictive enough and causing some exhaust reversion? *shrug*
Both realtime AFR readings are now stable at idle and that aggravating decel popping is gone. After changing the baffles the AT modules did lots of tweaking, leaning up several cells. I haven't checked the fuel economy to see what I'm getting but I'm pretty sure its not as good as it was in stock trim.

I just purchased a 09 Road King and after following this post for a while I know the PCV is going to be one of the first mods I do to the bike. i probably won't go with the at's. i don't want to play with it, I just want to ride it.

I am curious to know if the have run a map on a 100% stock road king and what the differences were between the stock and modified maps were.

Here is my AT story.
I bought PCV from Jamie a couple of months ago and a few days ago installed Auto tune. First had problem because of terminator plug solved by Jamie in 5 minutes(excellent ). After that I was able to see AFR but AT wasn't changing any trims but no popping and ride was great also. As I read from this thread (which is the most helpful PCV and AT guide in my opinion) I changed auto tune modules so front O2 sensor went to AT module 1. Today I took my first ride and bike was riding like crap. Popping all the way until 4K rpm, having trouble when I opened throttle at 3K and bike felt like it doesn't have a PC. after 20 mile ride I connected computer and the trims were really different from Jamie's map. The bike was working perfectly before AT and I trust Jamie's maps so what I couldn't understand was what was the problem. I accepted trims now it looks like working good again. I'll try it today and I will tell you the rest of the story.

I found my problem at last. After connecting right O2 sensors to right modules I forgot to change connections between at modules and pcv. Now it works %90 good. But I have another problem which I e-mailed Jamie. In 3rd,4th,5th and 6th around 2000-2500 rpm with %2 to %5 throttle the bike doesn't run well and sounds like it misfires. I excepted AT trims twice but still has the same problem. I'll wait for Jamie's answer and write down his reply.

RMD, I recieved your email however you seem to have forgot to mention the part about having the AT modules hooked up incorrectly. Because the AT modules we connected to the wrong cylinder this will completely affect the tune so I strongly recommend loading our original map and starting over fresh with your tune. If you need any help with this just let me know.

I had my AT modules on the wrong cylinder.. .did as Jamie is telling you. Re load the base map and start again. Before you accept the auto trims, look at them and see if they are way off. The other thing I did was to change the % of adjustments that the trims can change.

Do You have to use Auto Tune. I had the dealer install a Ness Big Sucker, PCV and Bassani slip ons. Love the way the bike rides and can definetly feel the difference. I don't have the Auto Tune. Do I need it?

No you don't have to use the auto tune. The maps from Jamie are pretty good. Most of us use the auto tune because we are planning to make additional changes and don't want to pay for dyno time or we just like to tinker with the settings. There is a lot of good information in this thread, when you get time, read through all the posts.
