On my Ford Escort the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor when I press it. This occurs only when the engine is on. Also when the engine is on and I press the brake I hear a click-like sound and depending how hard I push down the brake the engine idle varies (I assure you I'm not pressing the accelerator, nor driving this car on the road at this time). There's no leaking any where. I've installed a new master cylinder and new rear brake lines while I was at it. Again there are no leaks and I've bleed the master cylinder and the brakes more than a red cross blood drive. When the engine is off I don't hear the click sound and I get a decent amount of resistance on the brake pedal. It seems to me like it would be the power booster, but I want to check before I order one. Thank you.
I'll see about bleeding some more. I was surprised at how little brake fluid it took. I'll try bleeding some more.
