Our dog is now one year old. We aren't home a lot of the day so we only take him out once or twice a day. We want him to do his business on the wee-wee pads, but he doesn't. I was told to rub his nose in it and hit him every time he pees on the floor. But I'm afraid that might just make him afraid, therefore trying to hide his mistakes better. Oh, and it's impossible to praise him when he does go on the pad, because he NEVER does. Therefore, praising when he does right is not possible. Any suggestions?
