Potterheads? Twilighters? The debate was fun, but can we stop now?

The debate was never for JK Rowling. The debate was never for Stephenie Meyer. When people on here debated, it was to let the feeling of Yahoo! Answers members show. It was to tell other Yahoo! Answers members how they felt.

The debates shouldn't end just because Rowling/Meyer don't care. They didn't care when it started. The debates were never for them. They were for us.

If the debates are going to end, it should be because no one has anything more to say.
 
Rowling doesn't care, Potterheads.
Twilighters, Meyer admits that being compared to Rowling is flattering but that she's not at Rowling's level. She called a Rowling phenomenon that will never happen again.
The 'war' is kind of over.
I've fought on HP's side.
Made rants about how much better HP is.
But, fellow Potterheads, JKR does NOT care about the debate.
Why the hell should we?
And Twilighters, I apologize for any of my questions that bash you, but I won't apologize for not liking Twilight or bashing that.
Similarly, I don't expect you to apologize for bashing HP and I don't expect you to enjoy it the way I did.
Potterheads, while I absolutely despise Twilight, maybe we should take it as a compliment to HP. Twilight was a best-selling book that was almost immediately compared to HP. In fact, almost every bestseller is compared to HP.
That HP is the standard against which other are measured.
To anyone who answers this, saying one book is better than the other is speculation on your part, unless you can back it up with facts. If I say HP is better, I'll back it up with facts and not just bash Twilight.
Similarly if you're going to say Twilight is better, back it up with some facts.
 
To me the debate never started because Twilight is not and never will be in the same league with Harry Potter.
 
I read them both as well. They're not the only books out there, just the current favorites.

There's so much to read. This hp or twilight is just silliness and always has been, I agree.

I'll always be on the side of HP for obvious reasons.
 
I'll admit that Harry Potter has more magic and excitement to the story, but the only reason Twilighters like twilight is because they have hot people playing the characters. Have you noticed how most Twilight fans are girls? Yeah.
