potential ownage, iPhone won't work with many Corporate email systems

some of you faggots overlook the power of "Hype" it gets pple talkin and it gets pple interested. The ipod already started that and the iphone is going to win big over all the "free hype" its been getting everywhere.

pple are willing to overlook little flaws in order to be a part of that hype.

Sure, and when somebody brought in their PC that had a virus on it that dumped the network, or managed to mess something up somehow, the shit would have hit the fan. The fact of the matter is that business isn't a democracy. Things are the way they are because certain people understand what they do and are good at it. I don't set the rules here to ruin anybodys fun, or to try to be "the man" and keep anybody down. The fact of the matter is that rules like me and some of the other guys in here have talked about are what keeps your infrastructure in place.

pple forget the fuckin razr was a sup-par super hyped phone debuting at 500 after rebates and it was just a regular phone...albeit being really thin.

and yet pple shelled out hundreds of bucks for that phone.

they're marketing to the wrong group of people, joe college doesn't have 6 bills to shell out for a phone, corporate heads with the ability to write it off, do.

Dude, I agree with you. It's going to be sold out for weeks or months. I just don't think it's going to have any impact on business users. I can only imagine what peoples bosses are going to do when they walk up and want a 600 dollar phone to replace their .99 cent phone that their bosses got last time they replaced their phone.

yeah it cost IT depts grief...but if a person wants to use a product they'll find ways to get it to work.

If a business person doesnt want the iphone he doesnt need to buy it and yeah, it's not marketed toward the business users.

but if enough business men use it cuz they WANT it then they're gunna use it regardless if their company supports it. If enough business men buy into it then the support will begin to slowly trickle in.

kinda like when windows users wanted to use the ipod when it was only apple exclusive in the beginning.

Correct. It's not meant to compete with Black Berries, Blackjacks, Q's, etc. on the corporate level. The iPhone is targeting a MUCH MORE mainstream and wider audience, and will start a new market for true multimedia phones. It also has a "wow factor" that can't be touched, and an interace that will decimate all other phones. This is what will appeal to people....not whether it can sync up with e-mail at work, or read excel files, etc.

its a problem across the board. of course it should be fixed. but none do. tmobile and verizon are headed here, and cingular is atlanta, yet they all have problems. not exactly an employee issue they can work around.
