I love the POTC score. It's absolutely outstanding!

I haven't seen any of the features yet, but now I'm really looking forward to that one.

That's a good thing, IMO. I feel like they've already ended the Will/Elizabeth SL well and they should leave at that. Sparrow however, now that's a definite franchise.

I got this dvd for Christmas yesterday!!! (the 2 disk).

Watched a majority of the features yesterday and they were awesome! Loved the one with Johnny & Keith. And then the one with Hanz Zimmer was my absolute fave since I am such a fan of the music.

Took me a while to find this thread!

December is almost here. Went to Walmart yesterday and I saw the poster for the dvd. It said "December 4th" so that's cool.

Here's the cover-art and what the dvd is supposed to contain.

I agree with everything! :D

The wedding scene was amazing because I didn't think they were EVER going to get married. Since the beginning of Dead Man's Chest those poor kids had been denied, but finally.

The movie wouldn't have been the same without Jack (the monkey.) :D

I never knew about that either. Personally, I'd choose to believe that the curse was broken. They deserve that happy ending.

So...:look: Who else thinks Jack and Elizabeth were made for eachother?
:)
I can't be the only one, right? :D

If you adore them too...Go here: YouTube - Keep Holding On - Jack & Elizabeth
It's a lovely music video made by AnamariaSparrow!

I finally got around to watching my dvd yesterday :D Every time I am reminded of just how spectacular the music is. Each song flows perfectly with the scenes and it just adds much dramatic effect.

The wedding scene- once again, amazing.

Becit's death is great too. Love that he is over swept by the fire.

And I saw the extra ending on my big screen which was great since I missed it in the theaters when I first saw it. Loved it!

And of course Jack! Setting off the fire works for the explosion, him using himself as canon fire, then grabbing onto Jack & Elizabeth's parachute. He truly is a great character to the movie. He adds some extra humor which is great.

Yeah... In POTC when he says, "bring me that horizon" and he has that look on his face, you know that's all he wants. POTC 3 managed to stay true to that.

I have to admit it was a little sad that it ended and that the gang weren't all together fighting each other anymore. But it had to end at some point. :(

Wow, all this discussion is really interesting. I had no idea that the curse actually broke when Will came back to Elizabeth after 10 years, or the significance of the green flash. Aaw! That's cute, and suddenly, that random scene at the end suddenly makes a whole lot more sense

I loved this movie, just randomly. I've been in love with the franchise since the beginning, so it was inevitable that I'd love number 3 aswell, even though I don't think it was quite as good as the previous ones, storywise. It got a bit confuddling in parts, and I wish they'd clarified it a bit or cut out certain details, but it was still enjoyable. And the set pieces and action sequences were visually stunning! Even more so than the 2nd movie, and that had been amazing in itself.

I thought Johnny Depp outdid himself in this movie (hahahaha), and Kiera Knightley was impressive in her expanded role, she carried it nicely. Geoffrey Rush, yay! It was really awesome to see Barbossa back and working with our guys as opposed to against them, the dynamics were different and worked well. Nice to see Tia Dalma's expanded role, although was it me or was her accent even more wierd this time round?

I definitely liked how lots of loose ends were tied up, and how there were certain nods to the first 2 movies. I remember watching the whole fight at the end and just being blown away by the twist, didn't see it coming at all. It was great, albeit a bit tragic. And the ending is just so perfect, in my opinion. Cap'n Jack on his own on the open sea? That's all he needs :)

If there's going to be a fourth movie, they say it shouldn't be expected for some years. The screenwriters seems game about having another one though. The Walt Disney Pictures has plans to shoot a fourth film in 2009, though it's not yet final. ;)(Sources: Wikipedia)

In my experience these dates often change. STill though, it probably isn't for a few months, which is awful.

If amazon.com is to be believed, the DVD comes out on December 4th, 4 looong months from now.

At least there's a target date.

The movies are so good, even the monkeys a star! :D

Reading the title of this thread I was reminded, I loved the opening to this one the best. The pirates and everyone walking to the gallows, then the kid singing the "hoist the colors high" song.

Pretty awesome.

POTC: At the World's End is the best of the trilogy! Everyone's there and the battle at the sea is the greatest yet. This movie exceeded my expectations.
