Potassium

Too high potassium will cause problems and too low potassium will cause different problems. Neither is good.

Best to keep potassium midway of the normal range. Below 3 or above 5 is not good.

Potassium plays a major part in the heart electrical system.

Are you by chance drinking V-8 Juice, if so, that could be your problem, it is high in potassium. Are you eating a lot of high potassium foods?

I don't drink V-8 Juice but I have 3 big dried prunes every morning and just found out from the label that they are high on potassium. Better quit them.
The normal range on the lab report is 3.5 - 5.2, my result is 5.8. Doctor's nurse said it is not that high but to come back for a follow up test in a month. She told me to drink lots of water, I do that anyway already. Is there any other food I should stay away from?

I was high a few years ago and gave up bananas, miss them. Test was also okay after I was tested again a month later.

Google for "high postassium foods". See if your diet contains too many of these foods.

Definitely have your potassium level checked again.
