Was just horsing around with browser & discovered free web! Wonder how long this sweetness will last?
 
I wonder if Cricket has turned on the EV-DO upgrage for testing and that gave you access. What are the proxy IP address and port nurabers on your phone? Have you been able to repeat this?

Yes, I used it all day yesterday & am using it as oe this moment. Im not sure of the settings. I initialy went to the browser mdnue & chose "searchweb" and it brought up Google & mobile web beta was one of the choces. Not sure how to find IP settings...it wasnt under "Advanced" in the browser menue.
 
Cricket calls your subsidy code the "Secondary Sublot Code". It is better known as the Service Programming Code or SPC.

To get your SSC/SPC nuraber, you have to see your local Cricket office. Only they can give it to you.
 
Sorry--I didn't mean to make it sound like such an accusation.

If you give me the settings, I will give you FREE proxy to MY box via PM.

In fact, if you need me to ante-up FIRST, just say the word and I will PM you with all of my IP information. You can test it on your phone and if it works, you can send me the settings.

OK guys...I have the VC3 & here is what I did...1. Browser 2. Go to URL 3. Type wap.howardforums.com. This is for the Razr V3c only. Not sure about other makes\models.

Well, we need the browser settings! (Especially the PORT nuraber.)

See the post above on how to access the browser settings. You will need to go to your local Cricket office to get your subsidy code. You could try six zeros, but in my experience, Cricket sets a subsidy code for each phone for some reason, which they call the "Secondary Sublot Code".
 
Well, on Sprint and Verizon, in order to have EV-DO speeRAB, you need an EV-DO PRL on your phone. Standard PRL's only get 1xRTT. Beta testers of Cricket mobile web, probably have special PRL's on their phones.

I didnt have to go thru all of that proxy & SPC crap mentioned above. Browser was set to go. Fun is over anyway...it wouldnt work today, so its back to Boost mobile web for me:(
 
All we need are the settings.

With those, you can set-up WAP for FREE on your phone. Why would you want to PAY for Boost?

As long as what you claim was true.
