POSTING CRICKET ROMS of any kind???

hey i was wondering if it was possible to post ANY cricket roms at all?
Im working on my own rom, of course its custom but there are some things borrowed from amoamare cricket rom.
Example, some reg settings but im changing the arcsoft version etc and different skin.
and a few other things. I havent seen anyone else post a ROM of any type but amoamare so this is where the question arises.

with the incident of Amoamare pulling his ROM, i thought it would be a good idea to ask first.

I think making a ROM with a lock of some kind that you have to register with you and it ties it with the phones ESN etc will help stop ppl from doing what they did. I just wish i would of kept going with my programing classes, then i would do that for you
 
I don't think creating a ROM that required a license would be all that difficult to do: create an OEM for a program that prompts for a serial and will not close or allow anything else to be accessed until a valid one has been provided. I've experimented with various methoRAB for doing this on PC's with success, but I've never written anything (aside from some small forms in Pocket C way back) for a PDA. If anyone has links to a decent tutorial about how to write the programs and what software is required, I may be able to provide this program.
 
amoamare I was wondering if i understood what happened that led u to pulling your cricket rom.

cricketbaby and others would charge people for putting your cricket rom on 6700's? did they misrepresent and say that the rom was officially from cricket or did cricket contact u about the rom and complained or even possibly threaten u with some legal action?

the reason i ask is because i dont want any trouble like that.
Its no secret as to build ones own custom rom, just takes patience and some work. I am using the tutorials from ppcgeeks and the 3.5 rom that they have provided with some of the cricket stuff already supplied. Im just designing my own skins, which yours was a great inspiration, and led me to thinking why not build my own. put the progs that i want and reg changes that i use and have to usually set after i flash my phone with a new rom. ppcgeeks as u know is very good about encouraging ppl to make there own custom rom as to avoid possible legal issues and teaches people about thier beloved 6700.

I do not want someone making a buck from my hard work, and then i get in legal trouble while they get away clean free. (1st of all the least the lazy sob's could do is make their own ROM and then sell it or whatever they r gonna do) but to sell or make a profit of any kind when they got it for free is downright shameful.
I would like to be the nice guy as u were and share my ROM but now i think i will reconsider posting for all my custom rom when im done.
If people really want they could easily go to ppcgeeks and get several different roms there and use them. plus they just might have to learn a little about the 6700 phone that we all have come to luv. and if its to much for them well just possibly they should consider (a blackberry) another phone.

Its to bad our cricket group cant put out our own special rom but what people might not understand, is that since verizon and sprint etc actually sell the 6700 phones with thier service its ok to make roms with the verizon or sprint logo BUT since cricket doesnt, there is where the legal problem lies; copyright laws and what not.
