^^^^ this seems to be the case as the high end aveage according to linpacks site says the galaxy score im running is in the upper end... why im not sure but itll be addressed im sure lol

Linpack gives a measure of how fast the CPU can calculate a certain floating point calculations.

Quadrant measures 12 CPU functions (including floating point), memory speed, 4 types of I/O speed, 2D graphics speed, and 3 types of 3D graphics speed. These new Samsung phones have the latest memory, very fast busses, and unbelievably fast 3D graphics. So, you would expect Linpack scores on them to be similar to other 1GHz Android phones, but Quadrant scores to be significantly higher.

linpack is groovy and all, but i wonder how this relates to real-world performance. i heard chris dibona say the 450% boost in froyo is a myth.

1 billion....or 7.xx. ...it was one of those but I just ant remember which one. When I tried out cm 6 rc2 it was 16.xx. and 36.xx on my moms 2.2 evo

i just installed Eugene's Vibrant7 (which includes OC kernel) Rom and his recommended lagfix. I didn't dl SETCPU or anything like that since i'm completely satisfied with my battery life and speed.

All of the top 5 are PCs. 90 sucks too I got 511 with Android 2.1 on VMWare on an enterprise class PowerEdge M910 Blade Server with 4x Intel Xeon X7560 processors, running at 2.26GHz each with 24MB Cache (12.80 Giga Transfers per second), and 512 GB of DDR3 1066MHz RAM in 32x16GB Quad Ranked RDIMMs.

But then, that server OMGWTFBBQs just about every server on the planet, so it's kind of cheating. I'll see if I can get a screenshot tomorrow.
