Post your Linpack Score

I can't express how awesome that is, we may never need a2sd unless some huge games are released.

I've been using the Playstation emulator. It's pretty good. Most of the games I've tried work very well, but they take up 700MB each. Of course that's on the 6GB partition or the SD card if you have one. Quickly eats into your free space though. Unfortunately the Wii IME app doesn't work on the SGS range of phones because it doesn't work with BlueTooth 3 Using a Wiimote with the external controller plugged into it is awesome for emulators as you get a real controller with real buttons in the same locations as on the original console.

I was also thinking about the apps2sd implementation in FroYo a lot while making a couple of apps myself recently as I wanted to support it. The problem is that if you mount your SD card on a PC all of the apps that are running and on your SD card close. This really messes up services and scheduled events they may have set. I'm guessing Cyanogen ROMs don't do this as they use a separate partition for apps on the SD card?

im using cyanogens tweaked .34 kernel http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/nexus/froyo-root-kernel34-signed.zip
just flash it in recovery, lke a rom, on top of everything
also. the score will be lower if you have a bunch of widgets and apps running. try taking your widgets off your screens and retest

Is that 8GB all for apps though? The SGS has 8GB (or 16GB if you're rich) but it's partitioned into 2GB for apps and 6GB as an internal SD card (that behaves like an SD card would on previous phones). If you plug in a real SD card it appears in the SD folder on the internal drive.

I dont see that, where can I look to find how much space is for apps? It came with a 16GB sdcard. In my setiings it shows the card at 14+gb and internal memory at 6+gb.

I'm using cyans kernel like you, didn't have any widgets, stoped all the processes I could, turned down the brightness and still just got 41.01. The douche team are getting in the 90's, of course they are better kangers than us.

Yeah that sounds like you have 8GB of app space. Wow. Android phones finally got with the real world I remember how crap it was having a G1 with under 100MB of app space. I have never understood why it was so low when flash memory is so cheap.

There are two Samsung Galaxy S models available:
8GB: http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=198072
16GB: http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=198075

But, as you can see the latter is unavailable. I've only seen it for sale on one network here (Vodafone) so they may have exclusivity on it.

Off topic once again lol. I just seen a 2.1 stock galaxy s post a 2234 quadrant. Can't wait to see 4000-5000 on 2.2.
