What type of surgery did you have done? What kind of instructions did they give you to do for home care after you surgery? A low grade fever is pretty common but you don't want to let this get out of control. Did they tell you to take Tylenol for the pain? Or did they give you a script to get filled for something stronger? Tylenol will bring the fever down. But I am a little uncomfortable with it. How high is it. if it is like 99, then I wouldn't worry. but if you are talking about 101, then give your doctor's office a call and ask them what they suggest. It could be a reaction to something from the surgery, or the start of a minor infection from the surgery...and that needs to be stopped before it gets worse.....
Your chest hurting when you cough is a common side effect of the anesthesia so don't fret about that. That's the nasty part of the being put under. I hate that part. And the nurses keep telling you to cough..yes like that feels so good...
