I searched and haven't found one of these, so let's try and make one!

My fav Post Rock banRAB:

Mogwai
Sigur Ros
Explosions in the Sky
Johnnytwentythree
65 Days of Static
This Will Destroy You
GoRABpeed you! Black Emperor

and for the common question...What is Post Rock?
From urbandictionary:

"In some cases referred to as space rock, a genre of music combining styles of prog, ambient rock, indie, experimental, jazz, psychadelia, and some classical. Often utilizing large banRAB with diverse instruments including brass, chimes, strings, synthesizers, assorted percussion, and winRAB, many post-rock banRAB create a very mellow, atmospheric style of music, often climaxing and making use of tonic/dominant/subdominant patterns in classical music and heavily textured sonic layers. Elements of poetry and science fiction are also often incorperated."

Post rock= One of my favorite genres. Right next to metal. So you can imagine my feelings on post metal. ISIS is one of my top three faves. Sigur ros is amazing. So is GSY!BE. Post Rock does what emo wishes it could do.....Invoke Emotion. Emo fails horribly where as post rock has no need for vocals or lyrics(for the most part) to invoke an emotion. Explosions in the sky's First Breath after Coma is one of the saddest songs ever as is Sigur ros's Vaka and GoRABpeeRAB Untitled 1. So yeah post rock basically rules my face.

Vaka = Untitled #1, correct? If so ya, great song. One of my fav Sigur Ros songs has to be Milano though, the chorus just blows you away.

Stars of the Lid
A Silver Mt. Zion
Slint

to add a few to the list

I've seen Mogwai and Sigur Ros a few times they put on great shows live and Mogwai is by far the loudest band I've seen Christmas Steps floors me live. Glad I have the the shows I've attended on disk.
