Has anyone experienced this? I'm getting so scared...
4 weeks post micro-d - after a week I had bad pain in my right leg (the original problem), started taking Arthrotec (an anti-inflam) for it, doc said to take it for 2 weeks - now (thank goodness) have just had occasional pain in that leg and I've been off the Arthrotec for 4 days. But starting a few days ago, I've been noticing pain in my left calf mostly and some soreness in my left hip. It feels like a milder version of my original nerve pain, not like a muscle spasm.

I can't talk to my doc for another 1.5 weeks...Did anyone have this? I'm so afraid I've reherniated on the other side, my pre-surgery MRI said a moderately large central disc protrusion with a larger, more prominent right sided focal component - made sense considering I only had pain in my right leg until now!

It's not so bad I can't function and I'm going to try going back to work tomorrow, scaled-down hours. I've been so careful and can't imagine going through all this again on the other side! Do you guys think it'll go away with time?

Thanks for listening, M

Mern, proir to my surgery, I walked all hunched over and kinda off center. after the surgery, my posture improved 100%. I started using muscles in a way I hadn't for a while and they did get sore, especially when I walked alot. I would not panic too much yet. I thought I reherniated after my surgery but everything I felt was normal. I would make sure you talk to your doc about it though, just to be on the safe side. How are you and your husband doing? Has he had any luck on the job market yet? I hope things are going well and if they aren't, hang in there, good luck is right around the corner. You have earned it.

Thanks Al, can always count on you for the nicest possible reply... :)
We're doing OK, he's got an interview tomorrow actually (cross your fingers) but it's just the first one so we're trying to keep our hopes in check. I've just felt a lot of pressure because of it and I've been working really hard, long hours from home for the last 2 weeks and now this other-leg pain on top of everything else...I can't wait til my doc appt. and hope and pray my pain just stays the same as it is and doesn't get any worse.

Glad to hear you've been doing so well...take good care,
M

M, I will keep my fingers crossed on Monday if you'll cross yours for me on Tuesday. I have a second interview at noon. Let's hope for a good week all around!

I know how hard it is not to worry that something has gone wrong, did you mention it got worse after stopping the med?, maybe you can call your doctors office and see if you should restart it and see if it helps. It is possible to have inflammation still 4 weeks is not very long. Perhaps you may be able to call and speak to someone in his office and get some reassurrance on this issue or see if they want to see you sooner. Take care and I hope it gets better ;)

I am not doctor but my wife has similar type of pain, after dignosting for 1.5 years with aurtho, it was understood that not relate with bones but related with Psytica. Just check with that. I got good relief by Aurvedic medicine.
