Post here what you personally think of AOL

yeah, but charter is 10 fucking times better than aol, i mean charter is about 2 dollars more for the high speed shit than aol's dial up network. Damn

my sister sits on this thing called "gaim"..my friend has it too, all she does is waste 5 hours of her time staring at a screen with like 5 or 8 screen names signed on at the same time..talk about schizophrenia, she has multiple alaises and every fucking screen name has like 50 ppl on it that are all different, how the hell does she know that many ppl and keep track of it all...I think aol is a waste of time

i don't know why anyone would bother with AOL, let alone AOL broadband, which just puts an idiot interface on the internet

AIM sucks too, i use trillian

I downloaded AIM to be able to talk to some of my friends who don't want
MSN, and AOL send me "AOL BROADBAND IS BETTRE THAN ADSL AND MANY OTHER CONECTIONS...CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD A 15 DAY FREE TRIAL"
I send them a reply "Listen dicknose, I have DSL, which is much better than AOL BB, I would never change my good connection in for some crap like that, I would rather have a dial-up connection than using AOL, so please, don't send me any more of these ridiculous crap mails as they will be countered by even more explicit mails than this one...on beforehand, and for your own safety, thank you", yes I actually wrote that...hehe, they haven't replied yet, I sent it back like two weeks ago... :D

Their dialups drops you faster and more times then any other crappy ISP. Even Net Zero when it was free was more reliable.

AOL Broadband is barely broadband and will dump you after 20 minutes of inactive time. Basically they dont want people sitting and tying up their bandwith, where as other IP servers dont give a shit.

AOL lies about its active member count to boost its stock value. it says it has 20 million users but truthfully I think its more like 100,000 active users.

most of it's users are kids yapping online.

I have never payed for AOL but if I had anything positive to say about it is the IRC servers that email to AOL accounts.

Certain files we are not allowed to mention on WTF.com ;)

AOL's Internet For Dummies. If you are this site and using it's main features, I truly doubt you need it.

Plus, I used their demo for kicks, and I didn't call them the cancel, and they started adding charges to my phone bill. I didn't know 'til a few months later, them assholes. And I had cable then!

AOL is for lamers. I'm sorry, the most laggy, dropping packets, worst internet service in existence. You pay 15 dollars more per month so you can get all the AOL "Special Features" which anybody with a real ISP and a real browser could get for free. AOL for Broadband is even lamer. AOL doesn't even serve as an ISP for the broadband, you just pay 15 or 20 dollars more to your internet bill to get lame "enhanced" features that anyone with a brain could get for free. AOL sux ass.

AOL was revolutionary about six years ago. Today, with the dramatic increases in technology and programming, they just haven't been able to keep up though. To me, only the rediculously computer inept or adolescent computer users would even venture to look into AOL. In retrospect so some of the more retarded wtf.com users can understand: aol sux ass!
