possiblie to send files from phone to fone with IR ?

Anyone using the new Sony Ericcson T616? I just ordered the bluetooth device. waiting for it to get here.
 
does someone knows ?
I have a 6610
and I can send telephone numbers with my phone using IR

but I can't send pics of midi files using ir, it gives some error
 
So there are no possibilities to send anything except bus. cards form mobile to mobile if this is series 40? :(.

There is no, for ex., java application which can be helpfull in this problem? It really sucks if there are no ideas to solve it :(.

Yes i know, but if u have new mobile u don`t have option to play in Sprinter Cell also. U must upload it.

That`s why i`m asking about java program which is helpfull in sending files from mobile to mobile.
 
These phones are loked, I also have the same problem with 7210; all series40 are locked
 
1. I`m asking about IrDA. I think u don`t know what are u talking to. Are u sure u can sand application using BT in nokia`s phone? ;)

2. Bluetooth - there is no so large differences between possibilies of BT and IrDA. Of course i`m not talking about speed connection, range etc...., but both things is made up for datas` transmissions.

In my opinion there are possibilities to write program in java which will be able to have IrDA control, but this it, of course, not very good for game sellers. That`s why i`ve got my problem ;).
 
all you need to do is go to the NOKIA website and download the handset manager for your phone. I have done it with the 7210 and the 6610
 
I have a 6200 can I send apps to my friends phone through IR? has anyone gotten this to work with a6200?
 
I think you're doing something wrong... I tried it several times with the same phone some time ago and it worked. Have you configured everything properly?
 
Michau: Let me ask U this:
1. Why can I send image files from my computer using my comupter's infrared port to my ericsson t68i(without any software) and can't do the same thing with my 5100
 
There can be few reasons but one of the most frequent is bad resolution. U must check how many pixels has image and compare it to u`r phones possibilieties. SonyEricsson mobiles are very flexible - nokias aren`t. If u want to upload something on Nokia u should use Pc Suite (Image Converter).

Nokia is nonflexible - u can upload only smaller.. or pics in right resolution.
