Here is the current state of the account:
3 Phones on the Family Share plan (700 min)
Primary Line - Cheap LG Flip-phone (purchased Jan 2009)
Second Line - Blackberry Strom (purchased Nov 2008)
Third Line - Blackberry Storm (purchased Nov 2008)
Verizon customer since 2001
I want to upgrade to the Nexus One when it comes out in the Spring. I know there is no solid way to know the price of the phone, but I want to know if it is possible to upgrade early without paying the full price of the phone and any extra fees? I would want to upgrade sometime in May, and was wondering if Verizon would allow the upgrade. I ask because when the Motorola Droid came out, I received a letter from Verizon saying both Blackberry Storm phones were eligible to upgrade to the Motorola Droid. Any explanation or insight on possible ways to upgrade would be helpful. I have read the Secondary lines don't normally upgrade early, so would it be possible to upgrade the primary line, use the phone on the secondary line, all without adding the $29.99 data plan to the bill?
