Possible to unlock Cing E62?

Hi I'm new to the Nokia world but just got a E62 on trial. I searched but didnt' find anything, is there a way to unlock this phone?

Also how do I disable the clicking noise when navigating through menus?

One more ques, any good links to freeware for Symbian 3rd edition.

Thanks. I'm also looking forward to the N95, what a powerhouse. Does anyone know what the price of it should be?

no its actually not possible to unlock this phone




j/k... give it a few weeks and theyll be those free unlockers, or just call and ask cingular... thats what i do. you can do the clicking noise in the profile customization and freeware are everywhere... use google. and e-series.org
 
Ok I got the code for my E62 phone from Cingular?

How input the code in the phone.... The Cingular support don't tell me how

I got this procedure from Cingular but is very confusing

More than 2 incorrect attempts will permanently lock your wireless phone; and it will need replacement.



This procedure can be done with or without the Cingular Wireless SIM inserted into the handset



1. # (press the # key, 1 time)

2. p (pause, press the * key 3 times)

3. w (wait, press the * key 4 times)

4. + (press the +key 4 times

5. enter the code

6. + press the + key 2 times

7 1 press the 1 key one time

8. # press the # key 1 time
 
I call again and the other Tech give me other steps but also didn't work
Some have some clue about this, I called to Nokia and they also don't helpme about this.

why would Cingular give you the unlock code?....if this really works anyway....doesnt sound like any kind of coding i've used to unlock a phone but go ahead and shoot.
 
this had been said for a couple of years already~

and if big shops like bongo/evan cant unlock them, i doubt it will be possible for anyone out there~
 
I fixed at last this problem, but not thanks to Cingular or NOKIA.
An underground network give me the procedure correct I reproduce here to compare how wrong was the CINGULAR have.

you just need to enter the following sequence:

#pw+15-digitscode+1# in the screen, where Cingular is displayed (idle screen)

type #, then type * 2-times, you will see a little p and so on as described

I am happy camper now!!!!
 
Well in my case they gave me the procedure but seems only apply to old Nokia models, I needed the help from a underground experto to understand what was wrong with the instructions.

I notify to the Cingular Tech Support about that wrong info and they said will take note of it.

Does anyone know If this phone works on T-mobile's t-zones or it needs the Blackberry internet plan(19.99)???

Im thinking of buying one for my t-mobile account.

Yes I use a configurator service from Nokia UK site and get works with T-Moblie and T-Zones cheaper plan not data plan is need it.

I called to CUST SERVICE try again, if they ask if paid in full the phone said YES, only answer I need use overseas with others carriers.

Usually they ask for your email address to send the code or you need call days after to receive the code.
