limera1n and greenpois0n are both out and can unlock iPod touch / iPhones on firmware version 4.1. My iPod touch is at 4.2.1 right now; I'm wondering if it's possible to downgrade to 4.1 (I have the .ipsw file) and then jailbreak my iPod touch on that firmware. I also heard that the two unlocking tools unlock the iPod touch forever, due to their use of a bootrom exploit; is that true?
Possible to jailbreak 4.2.1?
