For about a week now I have been having pain in my lower back. Thinking it was a kidney infection I started drinking cranberry juice and the pain has improved somewhat. Two days ago I started feeling like there was pressure on my bottom. Bowel movements have been completely normal. Yesterday I was soaking in a bubble bath and when I washed my bottom, I noticed that there was a kind of protrusion in the area between the anus and vagina. If I trace the area with my finger it feels completely round and it is only noticeable when I am squatting down. If I push (as if having a bowel movement) the area is much more noticeable. I had a prolapsed bladder about 8 years ago and had surgery to fix it. I have also had a complete hysterectomy (10 years ago) - Both of my children were over 8 pounds at birth (they are 20 and 22 years old now). I am very concerned as my mother had colon and rectal cancer and lost her battle with this horrible disease 10 years ago. There is no pain (other than the above-mentioned back pain) and no bleeding. The protruding area seems to be about the size of a tennis ball. I wonder if I am over reacting and maybe this has always been there and I just never noticed?? I don't think it has always been there though
Any advice would be welcome. I had to drop my medical insurance due to premium increase and cant afford out of pocket at the moment.
Thanks.
