Possible affect of driver shaft flexibility rating on a golf swing?

I own a slazenger driver with a 65 kilogram uniflex shaft. Upon observing the face of the club I see that all of the ball marks are on the heel of the club head. Today i took 10-15 swings with a stiff shafted taylormade burner and saw that all of the hits were on the center of the head. I am curious if it is possible that the speed of my swing combined with the uniflex shaft is causing me to hit the ball on a bad spot of the club while a swing with a stiff shaft is causing a perfect hit.

Your explanation is quite strange. The only thing a swing shaft is going to affect is at which point the club returns to the ball during your swing.

If you have a V Fast swing but a Regular Shaft Flex then your hands are going to get ahead of the ball meaning you will leave the face open and hit balls right.

HOWEVER: - The actual contact of ball and club face will still be central, the swing shaft does not affect WHERE on the face you hit the ball it affects WHERE in the swing you make contact with the ball.

If you are hitting the Slazenger out of the Heel and the Taylor Made out of the Centre I would simply put that down to the fact that the Taylor Made is obviously a superior club with the Weight and shape designed to perfection and this has caused you to swing the club better as you have more confidence with it (It's probably got a massive 460cc head as well!!)

I would concentrate on actually improving my swing rather than putting bad shots down to Shaft Flexability, if however you hit a certain club well (And it sounds like you hit the Taylor Made great!) then swap the clubs over.
