Why would my EMG correlate well with my complaints of leg pain and increasing nurabness and my lurabar discogram be negative? My My CT's show mild bulges at L3-4, 4-5, and a broad based central posterior protrusion at L5-
S1. These were "negative on my provocation discogram Thursday. The EMG doc says some chronic radiculopathy at L4-5, and more significant chronic radiculopathy at L5-S1. The discogram doc said the cause of my pain is my "arthritis". I guess she means my ankylosing spondylits (AS). Wouldn't she be able to say where the AS is causing my pain and nurabness! Now one surgeon says surgery won't help me. My AS treatments are apparently not helping these symptoms. Does that mean my pain and nurabness may eventually turn to paralysis and that nothing can be done?
