I'm having a repeat lurabarsacral MRI w/wo contrast on Monday. Does it make a difference which position my legs are (flat or propped up)? I cannot lay flat on my back (legs go nurab), so I had my legs propped up during the last MRI two years ago.

Last results indicated moderate central canal stenosis in L4-L5 and mild in L5-S1. My symptoms are increasing, thus the new MRI.

When I had a hip MRI last year, I had to lay flat and both legs were nurab at after the 30 minutes and I needed help to get up.

I'm wondering if I lay flat during the new MRI, if it would possibly show some additional results that were not evident during the previous MRI. Only question is if I can last an hour in that position.

Does leg position matter that much?
