Popping sound on my Pontiac G6 steering column?

Whenever I turn the wheel on my '07 Pontiac G6 there is a certain spot where it makes a loud popping sound. When you hit that spot and move the wheel back and forth it just pops and it's pretty loud. Sounds like it's coming from the steering column. Any ideas what it is??? THANKS!!!
 
I dont think its your steering column...i think its your front shock absorbers. Blown shocks will cause the popping sound when turning the wheel left or right.
