Poor signal, should I go Inpulse?

Ive been a cricket customer for 2 years now, and I love the unlimited service. I live in between San Antonio and Austin, and according to the coverage map, I should have excellent service. Well, I average 1 bar when outside, and if im lucky I will get signal inside my home. I have stuck it out for a while now wishing they would correct the coverage map or add a tower out here so the map is correct. I have talked to CS multiple times over the past few years, and every time there tell me that there is nothing they can do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Im about ready to flash over to Verizon Inpulse, 0.99 per day for mobile to mobile and free internet EVDO access... Not a bad deal and I get full signal...

Find out from others who they use and if you find how cricket peeps find out how they are doing, also check your PRL, and if all that fails feel free to swtich but i would down some looking around, it could be the phone, it could be the PRL hell it might even be cricket but find out 1st, CS however sometimes is not very helpful, hell they have even told me that im not in a cricket area, even tho i am and i get 5 bars everywhere i go lol for the most part that is.

Thanks for the advice... There are several other people that have the same issue as I. Its a college town, and there is 4 appartment complexts right next to eachother. Ive met probably 20 people or so that live here and use cricket. All have the same problem. I have gone through the ppc6700, razr v3m, and a blackberry. All have roughly the same SNR and Attenuation on all three phones. Im using the new PRL 1011. I keep telling all the neighbors to call CS and keep complaining, because we are an "Excelent" coverage area according to their map...

Thanks for the help though..

try prl 1042. but it could be the phone..... most of the ones u listed do tend to get crappy signal compared to others from what ive seen (depending on which blackberry..)
