Poor N80!

Look at this sorry state my poor N80 is currently in...





All thanks to a broken ribbon cable (which I did myself).

How'd you manage to bust the ribbon cable?
Luckily the N80 isn't so h ard to take apart and put back together.

I was trying to fix an annoying squeak that had appeared. Didn't work out too well! I was surprised at how easily it came to bits actually. The hardest part to get off is the front cover. I managed to put a great big scratch on the front cover while taking it off, so I've ordered a replacement for that too. There was literally only 1 person selling the ribbon cable on eBay.

I really hope it still works when I eventually put it all back together. With the charger plugged in, the phone beeps and the keypad lights come on, so it seems to be quite happily charging the battery up at least.

Actually the whole thing is pretty simple to put together and take apart. Just waiting on the ribbon cable getting here. BTW, cnn.cn is not much good, it's a Canadian site.
