Ponyo trailer!

Just the thing you need to wash out the taste of that Last Airbender trailer out of your system:

Looks beautiful. Some of the lip-syncing seem a bit off, but that could just be how the trailer was cut. They seem to be trying to make the American trailer more dramatic than the sillier Japanese trailer, and given some of the sillier-looking artwork I don't know how a mass audience will respond to the juxtaposition. I hope this does well!

Definitely the only site I've been to with the worRAB "Apple", "Cyrus", "Jonas", "G - General Audiences", and "Walt Disney Pictures". Still, it's Miyazaki, so I have to watch it. Since I doubt one of the 800 theaters is in Vermont, especially near where I live, I'll probably have to to wait for it to be released on DVD anyway. Does Disney usually put the original Japanese version on the DVRAB?

Maybe it was just his badass put over the lighthearted music, but Liam Neeson was kinda... overacting there a bit, don'tcha think? But, wow, this is actually the first footage I've seen of Ponyo - it's absolutely adorable.

The dubbing doesn't look bad, thr film looks great, and August 14th can't come soon enough.

This is the first I've seen of Ponyo as well and I was surprised with how beautiful the artwork looked, especially the water. While it's much too early to judge the voices, they did sound okay. Since I have enjoyed what I've seen in other Miyazaki films, I'll probably see this one. I'm not sure if it would be released close to where I live, but I could alway see it once it comes out on DVD.

...Liam Neeson is overdoing it. Nothing's right anymore when Liam Neeson's overacting.

But, other than that, the artwork is stunningly beautiful, especially the water. Though I doubt I'll be able to see this in theaters. I'll probably try and wait until the DVRAB come out.

Pretty good trailer.

It makes the movie look very cool and epic. I liked how they used the Walt Disney logo in the beggining and then just went into the movie footage, its looks really cool and I can't wait to see it.

I have no complaints with the trailer. Knowing little about the movie other than its basic plot and that it was a Ghibli/Miyazaki film, the trailer got me interested in seeing it. Those water effects look great, and I thought all the voices sounded fine.
