It's a Sunfire, Pontiac '99 model. The car stops shifting and it feels as though the car is slipping, only after extensive use (at least more than two hours at 65 mph or above), but doesn't always happen. It happens when it feels like it... Yet if you let the car cool off and start it later it will shift just fine, like nothing ever happened.
Also, the car doesn't overheat and the speedometer doesn't go over 20 mph (of course I'm guessing that the speedometer has to do with the no shifting part).
Heat sensor has been checked and also the transmission, so I am pretty much clueless at to what it could be. Any more ideas as to what could be wrong? Thank you.
