The upon applying the brake it would not release (this is a used vehicle) break fluid was in bad shape with water and gunk. Replaced master cylynder, cleand resevour and refilled, bleed at wheels, master cyl and ABS chunk. Was fine for 2 weeks now locked again, bleeding frees but they lock right back up as soon as brakes applied, Anyone out there in the know on the brake system for this vehicle? I could really use a hand with some advice as I cant afford a shop at the moment.
Couple of edits,
The first time this happened I replaced the front right caliper seemed to be the wheel sticking, turned out the back left was too (i guess they work paired like that) This time the wheels that are sticking are the front left and right rear.
On advice from a neighbor I disconected the negative cable this morning (its been a couple hours) and now the breaks arent locked. My neighbors thinking was I may have overcome the problem bleeding them but needed to reset the computer.
I have driven it around the block a couple times being harsh on the breaks and it seems to be working fine. I dont understand why this seemed to work but I am afraid the first time I try to go somewhere they are going to lock up again.
I am a horible mechanic but it seems plain wrong to say the car is fixed if I dont have the broken part in my hand.
