Pontiac Grand Am still won't fricken start, Help!?

Alright so I have a friend who keeps taking their car to a mechanic and the mechanic has put in over 1000 dollars worth of work into it and still hasn't fixed the problem. The car is a 2002 Grand Am with 60000 miles. The computer told them it was the coil so they changed that they've also tried the starter, spark plugs, battery, spark plug wires, ignition module, ignition air control valve, fuel injectors, fuel filter! What else could it be? Any ideas?
 
All that work on other stuff may have put your car into 'default mode' and it needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer, if it has a anti theft system, it may think it has been broken into and locked out the key. Either way, might be a good idea to have a dealer look at and have them run a check on the computer, they usually have a better computer than most mechanic have in their shop for just that reason.
