Pontiac G6 2006 power steering problems, is there an exteneded warranty or recall?

I am having my steering wheel colum replaced on my 2006 G6 due to power steering problems. I just missed my warranty it expired at 60,000 and my car is at 63000. Is there any kind of extended warranty on this part or recall due to so many people having problems with it.
