Polyfill really help bass in sub box?

I heard on t.v. that by adding polyfill to your sub box you can make the bass sound a lot better. Has anyone heard this and does it really work? If it does do you just fill the whole box with it or is there a certain way to putting it in?
 
Just put it in the box all sides and back but not too tightly. Makes a 100% difference
