Well I wouldn't brag about getting part III, it's abysmal. However if you want the decent, although inferior Poltergeist II looking near enough just as good as the 25th Anniversary DVD, I suggest you get the US R1 Double Feature DVD that unfortunately comes with part III also (MGM came to the obvious conclusion that nobody in the US would flock to buy Poltergeist III by itself, so they tacked it on with II), because the picture quality on the R2 disc here in the UK is horrible, a massive step backwarRAB. MGM should be ashamed of themselves, they seriously need to discontinue the old R2 disc and re-release Poltergeist II with the new 2003 transfer done for the R1 disc. The difference is night and day. I'll have some screenshots up shortly.
My Widescreen Collector's Edition VHS has a clearer picture with a much better colour balance. No, I am not joking. I don't know why they bothered using colour at all for the R2 DVD. All you get is an overly saturated mess of red throughout the entire film masking all of the other colours as a result, and poor contrast to name a mere few of its many faults.
