Theres a lot of things I dont like about Y!A. the first thing I would do is change the suspension rules. I hate how suspensions are permanent and not only can you not ask or answer questions but you cant even see what you have on your Y!A account. I would make the first suspension one day, the 2nd suspension 1 week, the 3rd suspension, 2 weeks, and so on but not FOREVER.
I would add a lot more categories to the site. People would be able to thumb up and down both questions and answers and you could see who did the thumbs. I would have a commenting section for peoples answers. More faces and features would be available for the avatars. There would be the option of including a poll for a question where people could choose a number of options for the question. like this http://www.answerbag.com/polls/fast-food-breakfast_2271526
people would be able to have an unlimited number of contacts. Videos and pictures could be posted inside the questions like this http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/2285613
the flagging and violations would be replaced by a voting system and if enough people vote against it, the question becomes hidden but doesnt disappear in case some people want to look at it. This will allow people to ask whatever they want but people will have the choice not to look at it.
