poll lol How many people on here has had a chevy.buick.olds or any other gm

product car and the tranny go out? I work 2 jobs and do drive a lot of miles almost 4,000 miles a month.And being a single mom of 3 kids i always bought certified used gm 4cyl or v6 cars and every one ive had the tranny went out.So i stopped buying gm cars and went to toyota but still like the trucks.
 
Huh, I've never had the transmission go out of any of My Gm cars. From what I have heard GM's small cars, and larger cars transmissions are about the best. Now on the other hand I've had alot of dodges, and fords transmissions go out. I even had a toyota truck thats transmission went out.
 
iv owned 2 chev S 10s...both needed tranny rebuilds....one at 140,000 the other at 95K
 
I have only had one car and it is chevy, but the trans never went out. All brands are good but Honda in my opinion hehe. I would go with dodge for the big trucks. Ford for the long lasting (get a lot of miles) cars. Chevy for the performance. Dodge and chevy both do well with luxury, but not sure about Ford.
