something they eventually all believe it? I hear that as long as their media tells them something enough times. They all believe it. Therefore whomever controls their media controls what they think.

You sir, are 100% correct. Like Al Queda being responsible for 9/11, Osama being found and killed in Pakistan, some random guy killed JFK, the list goes on.

Their excuse is usually, "Why would they lie to us", they make the mistake of assuming that just because they dont know WHY the government constantly lies to them, that they MUST be telling the truth.

It's funny you mention that, since a lot of people in countries outside of the U.S. do that as well. For instance, when they read that the U.S. has the highest rate of obesity in the world when, in truth, the U.S. comes in at number three on that one, with both Canada and Australia being in the first two spots (though I can't remember which was number one and which was number two). Another example is how a lot of foreign nations (meaning countries other than the U.S., since I live in the U.S.) believe that all Americans think so highly of themselves and feel that all other countries are inferior.

This kind of thing is called ignorance and it's universal.

No.

Although a minority of Americans actually bother to question the media, the fact that there are Americans who question the media make it so not all Americans believe it.
