Poll: Is it awkward when you don't laugh at the joke?

My friend tries too hard to be funny, and she's usually never funny. She always makes jokes and stuff that me and my friends never laugh at but sometimes I fake laughing to make her feel better.
oh yeah, one time she said a really stupid joke and i didnt laugh. so she asked me why i didn't laugh and i told her it wasnt really funny. then she said i must not have understood the joke because otherwise i would have laughed because apparently it was "really funny" to everyone in her drama class.
 
i usually laugh just to make them feel better
and i say to everyone else
"what?? that was fvcking funny?? psh screw you guys"
