Yep, I have ridden on quite a few,

Sportster 883- kind of sluggish and buzzy, cheap way for someone to say they ride a Harley...you can get the same feel, better ride, less vibration and in my opinion a better look from a Honda Shadow Spirit.

V-Rod- WOW.. I was actually surprised by the straight line power, it was a fun bike to ride... I wouldn't buy one simply based on price, but it really was a fun bike to ride. My buddy won that bike in a raffle..and has done some work to it, and it really does get up and go.... but he started talking smack about putting my YZF1000 in his mirrors and I torched him. I loved his bike... I just can't see spending 15 grand on a bike that every 9000 dollar sport bike will get up and walk away from.

Road King- I can see why cruiser lovers fall in love with that bike.. guy I work with bought an 07, and it really does ride nice, Looked kind of dumb when he first bought it because it was basically stripped and not what I was used to seeing. But about 1000 dollars worth of chrome later... it now looks like what I think of when I picture a roadking in my mind. Its a super nice bike... Im just not into big bikes like that. BUt I have nothing bad to say about it, it was a very nice ride.(For an old guy)

Custom- I met a guy at Rabbit Hash Kentucky that has an old Hard tail that has been chopped, it has a Honda Supersport 750 Engine that has had a whole lot of Machine work done to it... its probably pushing 100 to 110 hp to the rear wheel. It will lift the front tire about a foot off the ground and just carry it through the first 3 gears, but with the front forks being so long..and they are LONG, the bike doesn't really turn all that well.... that thing may have been the scariest bike I have ever been on. Super sharp bike too...everything on the entire engine has been chromed, and the bike was a dark red metallic, frame, tank and all with "Honda Davidson" on the gas tank. And LOUD... I think the header was a custom cut stock exhaust.. they cut all four pipes, then angled them outward to the sides...straight pipes, not a muffler on the thing. If the looks of the bike didn't turn heads... then broken ear drums did. And yeah, I would actually like to own that bike... I just liked it a WHOLE lot!!!

With the exception of the Sportster..I have actually liked every one I have ever ridden for what they were, I think they are still over priced, but I have nothing bad to say about the bikes... I didn't like the 883..it was butt ugly, no power, buzzy...and in my opinion its a girls Harley. But the rest I have ridden were nice. I have never had a problem with any Harley itself, I just don't really care for the 20% ers' who give the bike a bad name. The "if it isn't a Harley it isn't worth having" or "Don't park that rice burner next to my Harley" type guys. But they are small in numbers...about 20%... the rest of the riders I have met on poker runs and charity rides are VERY cool and down to earth.

I admit I have made comments about the bikes... but only when provoked... I had a guy tell me once that he didn't want the rust jumping off my YZF onto his soft tail...he was a real bright one, My bike is Aluminum with a plastic body, where is the rust going to come from??? But either way, I did tell him that with all the oil his bike leaks all over itself..I doubt he has to worry about it rusting. It wasn't a real shot I was taking at the bike, it was just an under your skin comment.

I like the bikes (with the exception of the 883), but I don't care much for the reputation that the 20% ers give the riders of them. Which is probably the only reason I will never buy one.

Yes, but only on the back lol
It wasn't very comfy, but them my friends dad is a crazy driver

I,ve ridden most makes and models on my travels and raced sidecar and solo,s as well as riding in trials and displays, the best Harley, for me, is still the 750 flat tracker.

Yes

But just exactly what is the conclusion of such a poll going to decide
that X amount of people of about 20 or 30 chose A or B? And since you worded your poll that allows people of any age, regardless if they ever rode a motorcycle or not of any make - what will the results actually show anyway?

yes , But I still prefer my raked chopped 800 intruder.
Just as cool, twice the mileage, one quarter the price.

9 yrs and 70,000 miles yes Harley Davidson Sportster come to think about it i'm going for a ride now the sun is up
