Poll: Does anyone agree?

We live in a sick world. So many people are dying all around the world, yet we(as in us..the people able to afford computers...) are so concerned over trivial things like Michael Jackson or who will win the the next football game. What is wrong with communism? So many people see communism as a bad thing, but in our capitalist system, so many are dying while a small percentage of people live well. Capitalism is based on exploitation. And people who live so well here in North America, or Europe a few times a year will donate things to charity to clear their conscience. But it's not doing anything, because no matter what, we're sitting here wasting our time on Yahoo answers, when there are kids dying of AIDS in third world countries who can't even afford to feel sorry for themselves.
I say, capitalism should be totally abolished. No more exploitation, no more high, middle, or lower class. Just people, living equally, having the same opportunities.
Fish Stix Sucks: Communism only ever failed because of capitalism, because leaders wanted to further themselves. If we give up these capitalist ideals, and stop being selfish, everyone will be happy :) I think we should get rid of money too.
Tigger: Communism doesn't take away people's freedoms. It just makes sure everyone is treated equally. I think you are confusing socialism with fascism....both are at opposite ends of the spectrum....
 
no living equally. What about the people WHO ACTUALLY EARNED THEIR MONEY? your going to take it away so some hobo who's popped out 20 kids can sit around all day buying things they don't need? I don't think so. I mean, I understand there are people who need the money, and who honestly can't get a job, and they deserve it because theyre trying and they need the bare necessities, but do you really think the people who sit around all day on welfare not even attempting to LOOK for a job and have 10 kids deserve the people who works money? I don't and iit shouldn't be that way.

you probably think im a bigot but im not. I know the people who are sick and cant get a job && the people who want everything for free. my neighbor is on welfare, no job, 8 kids, wife has no job, complains about no food, having to pay bills, not enough welfare yet has A MERCEDES!! If anything the government should monitor where welfare goes and make sure it's being spent on food, clothes, the kids, stuff people need.
 
you know, that's a great idea and it would be great if more people of the world thought like that, unfortunately, capitalism is so deeply ingrained into our culture that it's not going away anytime soon. it makes me sick too, i figure the only thing that i can do for now is help those that i can and move away from this country when the time comes.
 
Did you just finish reading "The Time Machine"?

I do think we could start to change the world around us for the better. For instance, I went vegetarian, because all the grain wasted on feeding animals could go to starving children in third-world countries. If everyone started doing just a few simple things, Earth might be a happier place to live on. But don't set your expectations up too high--nothing is ever totally perfect.

Before i say this is does NOT apply to all people!!
Okay so i think most people in the lower class are there because they are couples or single moms who make bad mistakes by having children or something before they can afford them or by not trying to make a life for themselves these people i do not feel sorry for.
I feel sorry for those who have gotten LAID OFF! who cant get a job back.
I think people who are in a higher/middle class are there because they can be and worked hard at there job and paid for tons of college to be rich and they can be. Personally I think that they shouldn't be punished? for what they have gotten on there own personal time.
I do think though that people should be TREATED equally like racial discrimination and stuff. I think that our country is having hard times right now which hopefully obama can figure out:)
