Yes, I am pretty good... if I do say so myself lol.
Well, my husband is the critic, and he usually likes my cooking. I have some bad days when my meal could taste better, but overall, I'm not bad.
Personally, I first learned how to cook when I was around 14. My mom had surgery and was on bed rest for a month, so I took her place as temporary housewife. I did all the cooking, and cleaning. My mom would give me recipes/instructions from bed, and I would cook dinner.
If you enjoy cooking and are very passionate about it, then taking a chef course is not a bad idea. It will be a fun experience. However, if you just want to cook for survival and experiment, you can get recipes off the net or cook books. The fun thing about cooking is, it's sort of like art. If you bake a cake, you can decorate it however you want. If you fry fish, you can present it on your dinner plate however you want.
The best advice I can give you is: practice makes perfect! I've been through my fair share of burnt meals.
And I agree with the person above who said to watch the Food Network. I watch a LOT of Food Network LOL!
