Politics question on US military planning in Afgahnistan?

No one wins in Afghanistan. The locals sent the USSR running with their tails between their legs with very little fire power in comparison to the Soviets. We're doing no better.
 
This whole crap with Afghanistan is just as screwed up as the fiasco in Iraq. Our mission in Iraq was originally to find and destroy the WMD's (even though we knew there were none, but it was a good cover story) and since then our mission has changed so much no one remembers or knows why we are there.
Now, the same thing in Afghanistan, our invasion and mission was to capture one Osama Bin Laden, but after a few weeks of failure, now heaven only knows why we're still there as the Taliban was not our objective to start,.
So, i would say very bad indeed.
 
This is good because many expect for a lot of huge terrorist group leaders and of course they are going to leave like Iraq but soon they will be out of places to go. Iran won't let them in because it is too risky for him. Also we were wanting to do this for a while and now is our chance.
