yet to receive court date.? I am a college student originally from Illinois. Back around June while in school in Florida I was pulled over and charged with the possession of marijuana. I looked over the ticket a lot for what the reason was and only recently checked over my information. All is correct {License number, address (school and home in Illinois), date of birth and so on} except for my name is wrong on the ticket (Completely, first and last name are wrong). I am no longer in Florida because I transferred for school, and am not in my home state either. It has been a while since the ticket was issued and I have yet to receive anything in the mail about a court date. I am worried that it was set, and a warrant might be put out. And if so then what should I do?
I was also in cuffs and they said I would be arrested, and I was never read the miranda rights. They never took me in for whatever reason. All information was correct except for the name, they did have two addresses for me, one of which is no longer working and I have yet to receive anything at the other address. I also had talked with a lawyer for some information, they said not to worry about the name thing that if they entered it in the system that I would get the court date and then I could deal with everything then, but I haven't recieved a court date and am worried if it passed and what I should do.
